Starting off with a free-ky, funereal ode to one our time's greatest eccentrics (yes, the Glitter Gloved One), things proceed with a rollicking jazz-and-beyond deconstruction. Then: a 39½ minute tour de force - an ever-evolving soundtrack to a slow motion jog through several outer dimensions simultaneously.

Formerly "known" simply as Kowloon, Kowloon II (the "II" is indeed pronounced "zwei") continues the "fucked up ad hoc music" rout(in)e - here, though, with minimal layering and editing. Unlike 2006's "Free Methodist" CD-R on BSBTA, these curtains were not sewn from real (cheap) keyboards, but were emulated through a regular PC keyboard - which, via special (free) software, did reproduce the sounds of the Mini Moog, ARP, and other vintage synths quite well. "CCC" comes in a handpainted cover, with handwritten notes on the inside (fake analogue music + non-digitally-created visuals.)

Side A opens with thick swarths of improvised agitation and brilliant electroacoustics from Italy's M! and AAldo (who, incidentally, collaborate as AAM!) The fifth release (and fourth "commercially" available) from Art is a Joke will also turn out to be the last. I think. The first disc (or second, depending on the order you want to listen to them in) contains a half hour improvisation-over-noisy-field-recordings (a track called "Brown Brown Grass of Home"), while the other offers up a number of tracks that didn't fit in elsewhere (plus a few alternative mixes/versions of unpopular favourites.) 100% solo Christian Inhibitionist here. All this could have certainly fit on just one piece of plastic, but whatever. Two discs for the price of one.
